Navigation link missing SharePoint 2010

Navigation plays a very important role in organizing the items by means of Global navigation and Current navigation.
By the way, FYI- Global navigation is called as Top navigation bar and Current navigation is called as quick launch.
What supposed to be done if we are not able to see the navigation link on site settings page? Don’t worry, here are complete details:
Navigation is one of the vital section which gets enabled when we activates the publishing infrastructure feature.
Now the question is, How to activate this feature?
Please refer the following steps for accurate guidance:
·         Open the SharePoint site
·         Site actions
·         Site settings
·         Site collection administration
·         Site collection features
·         Activate this feature: SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure
That’s it-Done, now you can see that option on site settings page.
If you have any queries/questions regarding the above mentioned information then please let me know, Thank you.

  1. I'm using SharePoint 2010, and have structured the global navigation with 6 Headings. Four of the Headings have multiple (child) links below them. These child link url's are pointing to custom libraries. I have then saved the site as a template, including all site content, but when I create a new site from my custom template, all the child links are missing.
Please let me know if I am missing any steps.
